I heard from the placement agency today, the one that did my original interview before short-listing me for H&M. Apparently, they've taken me off the list for candidates. I have no idea why - maybe I'm too old, or maybe I don't fit their image. At any rate, I am so disappointed! This all came down about an hour after submitting my intention to terminate my contract with my current company.
After that, I went back to submitting resumes. *sigh*
Hey, I am thinking of you. Rejection is never easy to take. I take it exceptionally hard. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteKate, I don't quite understand? However, I'm not all that intelligent.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, how could you not fit into anyone's corporate image?
What in God's name could a company be looking for, if not for a hard working, intelligent, capable, attractive person like yourself to represent them?
Good grief.
Kate, did you get my email?
ReplyDeleteSorry, Kate. These days, being qualified, capable and willing sometimes isn't enough.
ReplyDeleteThinking about you, and hoping the next job you find is not only the one you want, but is also offered by a company whose people are sharp enough to see that you'd be a great choice....
Hang in there, Kate, am thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteI hope something comes along better for you. Rejection is always hard.
ReplyDeleteRoz
Hang in there...what else is there to do but hope...
ReplyDeleteOh, I am sorry, especially after all that interview process everything looked so hopeful. I hope something better comes along soon.
ReplyDeleteWhat the? Call 'em back and find out "WHY." You have a right to know why they dropped your name w/o having to speculate. Don't roll over like a dead dog. I mean, what if someone just made a typo or something. Get a "reason" (instead of wondering about it). You might feel very relieved that you did.
ReplyDeleteMay I offer a bright side? There probably would've been someone there who is the kind of psycho that corners you and holds you hostage with her kids' pictures, so you know, you sure dodged that bullet.
ReplyDeleteHappy hunting and good luck, miss.
I guess it's not usual to say why. I got dejected (after 6 months waiting!) and also got no reason stated why...
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the next placement!
They had no bonuses or incentive plans anyways so I think this will work out better for you. Keep thinking positively because that is what will get you where you need to be.
ReplyDeleteI hope that something good happens very soon on the job front
ReplyDelete:(
ReplyDeletei guess it's never easy- when you get rejected. It could be any reason- so you shdnt be too hard on yourself..
Bummed for you but it'll come right soon, karma.
ReplyDeleteWords I have to live by are "Wasn't the right thing for you"...you will know why some day (or maybe not). I'm sorry that you are disappointed, keep your sights high though! ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteBastards. I am sorry to hear this. Sending the positive vibes your way.
ReplyDeletebummer! that's too bad:(
ReplyDeletethis means that somethin better than what ya had before, is already on it's wayyyyyy
ReplyDeleteKeep looking. You have to keep several poles in the water all at once. Tiring isn't it?
ReplyDeleteHang in there.
Love,
Bobby
Thinking of you over here and hope that there is something out there for you real soon :-)
ReplyDeletethat sucks... it's probably a lemon, anyway.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! Obviously, I wasn't meant to have it. I'll keep looking.
ReplyDeleteDon't be afraid to ask why. Either you get something to work on or you hear a silly reason that makes you glad you aren't employed by them.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you're still looking. All you have to do is walk into a retail store and see how huge the need is for skilled adult management! You will find the right place.
