I wanted to stay in my pajamas today, but it didn't work out that way.
However, I did luck out and was able to get a little fuel in my truck, some ground beef, and some milk, in spite of the fact that Bill's company hasn't paid his expenses yet. Even if they had, he got called up to Whitecourt and won't be home until after eleven tonight.
I think it's going to be a long day - when I went out earlier, I didn't notice that my shirt was on inside out! Thank goodness I had my jacket on.
I would declare 'me' day. Do the things you like, read, long bath, the facial thing. Just take time to look after you. Favourite music and chick flicks are excellent ideas too.
ReplyDeleteIt could be a long day or it could be a fantastic day to just be nice to yourself.
Those kind of days are definitely long!

Sounds like DD says you need a ME day today, hope all is well :-)
ReplyDeleteBut it sounds like an okay day anyway, right?
ReplyDeletesorry about the job, Kate but something will work out soon. In the meantime, catch up on some rest. God knows I did not mind that bit of unemployment one bit. It's the only thing I miss. I will send good jobbie vibes your way.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you and your family, Kate. We all treasure you.
ReplyDeleteLOL about your shirt being inside-out. At least your shoes matched! (You'd look beautiful no matter what you wore or how.)
ReplyDeleteI totally relate to your desire to wanna stay in pajamas. Every time I attempt that, however, someone delivers a package and needs a signature. Next thing I know the Jehovah Witnesses come knocking; with both me and my hair sticking out all over the place.
I just had ANOTHER visit from snoopy Christians yesterday. They were promoting a local Jesus festival. I have since posted a sign on my cedar gate which reads: "No Soliciting (means no religious nut-jobs)." My son came home and was laughing at it. Dunno how long I'll keep that sign up. It feels good for now. Phlllllbbbbt.
Maybe now I'll get some privacy? When money's tight -- it's good to visit the library where you feel rich surrounded by so much wisdom. Take a much deserved nap, read a good book, make a candle out of your husband's ear wax (things like that). Sighs. I HATE it when I'm broke. I work very hard not to ever waste money so I never feel that way but I've been like you -- where ever dime made went into the car. Things will get better soon.
I once got to work and noticed I had shoes that didn't match on. Real class.
ReplyDeleteyesterday I applied for a new job, in spite of having a good paying one already. Unnecessary risk? Maybe....
