button button

Last night Bill and I had date night, for the first time in awhile! We went for fish & chips, then to see the movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. I loved being out with Bill, but was disappointed with the movie. It was almost three hours long and dragged in a lot of spots, but I think that's because I didn't really love any of the characters, save for the one played by Cate Blanchett. She's very good, in any movie I see her in.
I have an appointment soon, so I have to run. Wish me luck! I'd love to have at least four sales on this next payday.

  2. Mabel cried at the end of the movie.

I don't think I would watch it twice honestly.

  5. I took two of my kids to see button--my son loooved it and hopes it sweeps at oscars. while I liked it a lot and thought it was very beautiful and magical, 20 minutes could have been trimmed.

I haven't had any real desire to see that movie and now I have even less, maybe when it comes out on DVD

Thank you for your kind comment after my grandfather's death. He was the man, and I miss him so much.

  11. I've never heard of that movie. I won't be seeing it since I've now received an actual human giving a review versus movie-paid robots in the form of a human giving a "go and see it" review. Good luck with all of your appointments!

  16. I think it's so wonderful when married couples have a special date night, where they actually go *out* for the date!

Glad you two had fun. :)

  18. interesting that you didn't like it. it has good reviews and it could win some oscars. although i haven't seen it yet, i find the premise ludicrous.
