button button
Last night Bill and I had date night, for the first time in awhile! We went for fish & chips, then to see the movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. I loved being out with Bill, but was disappointed with the movie. It was almost three hours long and dragged in a lot of spots, but I think that's because I didn't really love any of the characters, save for the one played by Cate Blanchett. She's very good, in any movie I see her in.
I have an appointment soon, so I have to run. Wish me luck! I'd love to have at least four sales on this next payday.

I wondered about that movie! I think I will wait until it is out on DVD. ;-)
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the appointment!!!
Mabel cried at the end of the movie.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I would watch it twice honestly.
Good luck on the appt! I tried to watch it, but found it to be a bit boring, too. Ah well...*laughing* At least you had fish and chips!

ReplyDeleteI took two of my kids to see button--my son loooved it and hopes it sweeps at oscars. while I liked it a lot and thought it was very beautiful and magical, 20 minutes could have been trimmed.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! I will wait and rent it when it comes out.I didnt know it lasted that long.I dont have as much patience as I used to,to just sit down and relax and watch a movie.
ReplyDeleteI have to say that clock face attracted me. So cool
ReplyDeleteGood Luck with the appt! Never saw the flick - certainly won't now
ReplyDeleteYay for a good date night.
ReplyDeleteI haven't had any real desire to see that movie and now I have even less, maybe when it comes out on DVD
Wasn't Cate beautiful in that movie? I want the world to see me through that camera lens! ha!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comment after my grandfather's death. He was the man, and I miss him so much.
I've never heard of that movie. I won't be seeing it since I've now received an actual human giving a review versus movie-paid robots in the form of a human giving a "go and see it" review. Good luck with all of your appointments!

ReplyDeleteI really liked Ironman!
ReplyDeleteLou - I couldn't help thinking about that during the movie!
I think it's so wonderful when married couples have a special date night, where they actually go *out* for the date!
ReplyDeleteGlad you two had fun. :)
glad you had a night out with hubby! fish and chips sound yummy!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen Button yet, PItt sure does have some long movies... Troy, Legends of the Fall, Button....
bummer you weren't thrilled with it.
I love Cate Blanchett!
interesting that you didn't like it. it has good reviews and it could win some oscars. although i haven't seen it yet, i find the premise ludicrous.
