a thursday by any other name

painting by Roy Luckett

I had an excellent day! I had lunch with a girl that worked for me years ago, and she gave me some good advice about using iodine and Vitamin B100 complex to improve my moods. Then later in the day I called a few people, made an appointment for tomorrow, and got a free call list from a guy in my office that made an $8,000 sale this afternoon. I guess one of his clients wanted to move half a million out of the stock market and into an accumulation annuity, so he just gifted the list to me - one that he'd already paid $60 for.

Now I have some sirloin steaks cooking and in another hour Bill and I are going to watch Juno. Life is so much nicer when things are going well at home.

  2. Wow, that was nice of the guy in the office.

Not a big fan of steaks, but the night in with dinner and a loved one sounds pretty great right now. Sadly, El and I have plans and will be busy until sunday. Even then we're going out, but to a friends for the football game. So all is well.

Glad things are going well for you right now, too.

Steaks- YUM! I can't wait until it is warm enough to grill outside again, I sure do miss those meals.

  9. Wow! That's a gorgeous painting...so many bright colors, and I really like the composition of it.:)

Glad things are going well for you......that's always nicer when our spouses and us don't have to tiptoe around and walk on eggshells!

(speaking of a former boyfriend of 11 years...he was almost like a spouse!)
