manly men get facials

For some reason, the editor won't let me upload a photo. I so rarely ever write a post without a picture! I'm sure it will look strange.

I worked an eight hour shift at the big box store today, and tomorrow I have a short evening shift. That means that in the morning, Bill and I can both attend the job fair and after that, we're booked for a facial with my sister.

Apparently she's taking an esthetics course and they need people to practice on - I'm all for that! Bill and I went for a massage, a facial and a steam for our first wedding anniversary and loved it, and we're both looking forward to tomorrow.

Speaking of men & facials - do you think that men are finally figuring out how awesome they are? I doubt Bill would have thought so before I dragged him to the first one!

  1. Oh yes. I think they are finally getting the idea that it feels wonderful and is worth every penny, especially when it is going to be free. My guy has a full beard however so there isn't much face there to work on.

  2. They pretend they don't like to be pampered but they love it! I love facials, massages, foot scrubs, and hand scrubs and any other spa treatment you've got! Enjoy your day of beauty tomorrow! Well half-day :)

  3. Have a great day Kate - enjoy the pampering. I do think that men are finally figuring out what women enjoy about the day spa experience.

  4. They are wonderful aren't they. An old boyfriend of mine was all about facials, massages, etc. And he was really focused on not aging! He bought all the crap they advertise on TV for men's hair, face, etc.

    Enjoy your day!

  5. We would definitely do more treatments together if we had the time. I believe a facial for a man is as much a treat for them as for us. Not sure if I told you but when my hubby proposed to me he booked us an entire afternoon at the spa in Tigh-Na-Mara. He proposed between the soak (gorgeous copper tub) and couples massage.

    ENJOY!!!

  7. I've never had a facial or a massage, so I wouldn't be lying in saying I wouldn't know!

  8. that is very cool...I read that since men shave it isn't pertinent for them to get a facial as it removes their first layer of skin- have you heard that b4?
